Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly creating a personal AI agent to help him handle executive responsibilities and run his company.
Zuckerberg’s relentless pursuit of artificial intelligence is a current reflection of his past headfirst involvement in Meta’s major initiatives, such as the company’s wildly popular smart glasses and now-sidelined metaverse.
“We’re investing in AI-native tooling so individuals at Meta can get more done. We’re elevating individual contributors and flattening teams,” Zuckerberg said, as reported by The Independent. “We’re starting to see projects that used to require big teams now be accomplished by a single very talented person.”

He believes that everyone in his company should have their own personal AI assistant, starting with himself. Its technical capabilities remain vague, but one of its highlighted features apparently allows the tech founder to bypass various corporate management layers to retrieve decision-making information much faster than previously possible.
The news about Zuckerberg’s AI CEO bot comes amid Meta’s obsession to implement staff-wide AI adoption. The company has reportedly incorporated “AI-driven impact” into its performance reviews and established leaderboards that rank employees based on “tokenmaxxing,” a measure of AI use. But of all the methods currently employed, “Zuckerberg’s leading by example might be the most effective,” Fortune reports.
In support of its claim, the paper highlights data that shows an apparent contradiction: Leaders who are “hyping AI” rarely use it themselves. In fact, “nearly 70% of CEOs, CFOs, and senior executives use AI at work less than an hour a week, including 28% who don’t use it at all, according to a survey of more than 6,000 senior leaders in the U.S., U.K., Germany, and Australia,” per Fortune.
The paper concludes by writing that for CEOs to successfully integrate AI into their companies, they must move beyond casual usage and lead by personal example, much like Zuckerberg currently does.
